About DyslexiaLand

Although you won’t find DyslexiaLand on any map, if you have a dyslexic child, you will know that it does exist. With its own language, history, people, places and politics, it’s unknown territory when you first arrive—usually from a place of confusion and concern about the unanticipated struggles your smart child is experiencing in school.

DyslexiaLand is a field guide to this place, a book to help parents get oriented, educated and empowered to make the long, 13-year exploration through school from Kindergarten until graduation. There is no time to waste when parents must advocate strongly for their dyslexic children to get the help they need!

And DyslexiaLand is even more. It is an exploration of a the whole creative world of dyslexia, from information and ideas, to artistic expressions and the observations of dyslexic individuals who have so much insight and knowledge about a subject they know intimately.

In DyslexiaLand, we believe in focusing on strengths, and planting powerful seeds of knowledge, understanding and creativity everywhere we go. May those seeds bloom extravagantly and flower abundantly as the appreciation of dyslexia grows stronger with each season. So welcome to DyslexiaLand, may your journey lead to great adventures and reaching full potential.
